Hello
I'm Liz, your Wild Coach. We are given one wild and precious life. And as Poet Mary Oliver asks, what are you going to do with it? Don't squander it. Make the most of it. Make it wild. You define Wild for you. I did...
My Story
In 2016, my husband and I asked ourselves one of the most important question of our lives... Is there a better way to live this life? We were both working all the time, busy and exhausted. We had little time to enjoy the life we had. We began to talk and dream about a different and wild life. We decided to take a 6-month long career break and spent the next 18 months saving and planning. People told us we were crazy to quit our jobs. They said, "you'll find a hard time explaining your gap to a potential employer." We did it anyway. We sold everything and moved to Argentina. This experience rocked our world and changed how we wanted to live our future wild and precious life. We pursued remote work and now live between the US and Argentina. For the last 4 years, we have chosen to pursue a life that includes work that fits our abilities and interests and a minimalist lifestyle for more room for the people and things we love. We are living our one wild and precious life!
Here are some wild decisions we made:
-
We pursue work in line with our abilities, experiences, and interests
-
We work remotely so we can live anywhere in the world
-
We live our lives as minimalists so we have time and money for the things we love
-
We choose to live in 15 Minute Cities. According to Bluezones.com, The 15-Minute City is an urban concept in which all basic needs can be satisfied with a 15-minute walk or bike ride.
-
We say "no" to a lot of good things so we can pursue great things
-
We choose to have only one car
When we returned from our career break, I began working as a behavioral coach and fell in love with the craft. In November 2020, I received an ICF coaching certification. I have over 1,200 hours of coaching experience. I am also a Highlands Certified Coach, an assessment that highlights your natural abilities. I graduated with a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Miami and have decades of experience as a public health professional and in non-profit community-based and faith-based work.
