Recalibrating Life in Light of Coronavirus

Updated: Sep 17, 2020

I don't have time for myself. I'm overwhelmed. I don't have time for family. I hate my job. I'm so busy. These are some of the common STB (Stress, Tired & Busy) statements I heard from people before the earth shut down.

Now, in this time of pause, I'm hearing more of these, I'm enjoying time with my family. I'm sleeping better. I don't have to be in traffic. I have time to cook. I can breathe.

Could this be an opportunity not to do life as usual? Are you being invited to reflect and make changes to your life and rhythms in light of Coronavirus?

This is a great time for you to recalibrate the direction of your life. Going back to your old ways may be a missed opportunity for growth and some life balance. Here are some questions to ask yourself to help recalibrate life when earth opens its doors.

You may want to consider processing with someone else, such as your spouse, a friend, or even a co-worker. Take some time to ask yourselves...

What are you enjoying right now?

What are you learning about yourself?

What are you noticing in your body, mind, and spirit?

What kind of person are you becoming? (calm, fun, active, creative, etc.)

What could God (or the universe) be inviting you into?

What are one or two things you would like to do different when earth opens up?

Make the most of this season of pause. Lean into the moment and get a fresh point of reference for life, one that's healthier, more fun, and one that prioritizes the most important things in life.
